Welcome to the brand new Sequencing Service website. We really hope that you like the new layout and find it easy to navigate around and use. The old site was getting very dated and needed to be cleaned up and modernised. With this aim, we set about the design process and all the "backend" work quite some ago. One key change is the use of style sheets for page layout. This is very much the "modern" way to write web pages and gives cleaner layouts and more flexibility of design (although it has taken quite a bit of learning too!). Updating and transferring information from the old site to the new one has taken a considerable amount of time and the new site has undergone various "tweaks" in the interim.

With a new site comes a new logo as well. We will be implementing this new logo across all our documentation in due course, so expect to see more of it as time goes by. As with the old website, the old logo was dated and somewhat amateurish. The new logo is simple, elegant (we think) and encapsulates the key elements of what we do and who we are. It also took quite a while to finalise the details of the design for the logo, but now we have it, we are very happy with it.

We think the new website and logo are great. However, we want to know what people think of it and so we welcome feedback from customers and anyone else on how easy the site is to use and what you think of the new designs. In fact, any thoughts you have will be most welcome and will all be read and considered!
